Chances are you’re here for one of two reasons: Boomerangs – and the book 50 Important Boomerangs – or the wildlife/sporting genre photographer and author (and my grandfather) Albert Dixon Simmons. In either case, you’re at the right place!

Why “Fast Catch”? It’s a popular boomerang event, my favorite, and it sounded crisp and uncomplicated, like the event. You’ll find information about the book along with a gallery of boomerang images. 50 Important Boomerangs is available for purchase; please send inquiries via the contact portal.

On the Simmons side, his story and another image gallery, including some first generation Kodachrome color transparencies – date codes 1936 & 1937. The ADS archive has been idle for over fifty years, but his images, thanks to 21st century scanning and editing technologies, barely skip a beat. A retrospective book is in the works.
